How does Mid Stay parking work?

Say goodbye to stressful planning and parking, and follow these 4 simple steps:

Book in advance: Make sure to pre-book to guarantee your space, especially during busy periods.
Park up: On the day just drive up. Our ANPR system will recognise your vehicle’s number plate and open the barrier.
Walk to your terminal: No need for a shuttle bus - its just a 5–7 minutes walk to the terminal.
When you return: Find your vehicle and exit through the automatic barrier.

Where is Mid Stay parking located?

All three Mid Stay car parks at East Midlands Airport are located just a quick 5-7 minute walk to the terminal.

Directions to Mid Stay 1

Mid Stay 1 postcode: DE74 2SA

Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453.
Follow the road until you reach the main entrance to the airport.
Turn right into the airport.
At the roundabout take your first exit.
At the second and third roundabout, go straight on.
The entrance to Mid Stay 1 will be on your right.

Mid Stay 2 postcode: DE74 2SA

Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453.
Follow the road until you reach the main entrance to the airport.
Turn right into the airport.
At the roundabout take your first exit.
At the second and third roundabout, go straight on.
The entrance to Mid Stay 2 will be on your left.
Long Stay 2 is located on your right.

Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453.
Follow the road until you reach the main entrance to the airport.
At the roundabout take your first exit.
At the second roundabout go straight on.
At the third roundabout take your first exit.
Travel 150 metres down the road and the entrance to Mid Stay 3 will be on your left.

What is the minimum stay in the Mid Stay car park?

The minimum stay for Mid Stay at East Midlands Airport is 3 days. If you plan to park for a shorter period, we recommend our Short Stay car parks.

Please note, these stay durations are subject to change due to car park availability.

Are the Mid Stay car parks suitable for Blue Badge holders?

Yes. When booking please choose Mid Stay 3, where there are clearly identifiable Blue Badge parking bays. You can find more information on our Blue Badge parking page.

Alternatively, pre-book our Meet & Greet product and take advantage of a 20% discount only available to Blue Badge holders. What happens if I pick my car up late?

Arrivals and departures before or after booked days will incur an additional charge. Please see terms and conditions for further information.

Can I turn up and park at Mid Stay?

Yes, Mid Stay is available for Turn Up and Park.

If your plans aren’t set, you may just want to turn up and choose the car park that’s right for you on the day of travel. However, if you want to guarantee your space, we recommend that you pre-book, especially during busy periods.

Are trailers allowed in the Mid Stay car parks?

Sorry, trailers are not allowed in any official East Midlands Airport car parks.

Are motorcycles allowed in the Mid Stay car parks?
