East Midlands Airport has a great variety of Blue badge parking options. We’ve broke down everything you need to know – from walking distances to the terminal, to requesting assistance once you’ve arrived.
Assistance getting to the terminal
If you need a wheelchair or assistance once you’ve parked, there are various help points located in each car park to request assistance. For those needing assistance, we recommend Meet & Greet. Our experienced drivers will park your car for you, so you can head straight to the terminal.
Taking your Blue Badge abroad
If you need to take your Blue Badge abroad with you then that’s no problem! When you arrive at the car park entrance, press the help button on the entry barrier and let our team know.
Parking Options
Meet & Greet
1-2 minute walk
Our most convenient option, Meet & Greet is located just across the road from the terminal. Blue Badge holders can get 20% discount (not valid on the saver rate) on this car park – simply call 08081 686111 to book.
Short Stay 1
4-6 minute walk
Blue Badge parking is also available at Short Stay 1 (free for the first 30 minutes). This car park can only be accessed by walking to/from the terminal, but if you need a wheelchair or further assistance, help points are located in all car parks.
To get 30 minutes of free parking in Short Stay 1, just press the intercom button at either the entry or exit barrier, or at a pay machine within the terminal, and have the serial number ready to give to the operator.
Long Stay
10-15 minute walk, or a quick shuttle bus ride
Long Stay 1 and Long Stay 2 both offer Blue Badge parking. Located just a free short bus ride from the terminal, it is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Board the transfer bus before other passengers and make your way to the dedicated wheelchair points on board.
Pick Up & Drop Off
2-3 minute walk
As well as Blue Badge parking, we also have designated Blue Badge bays in our Pick Up & Drop Off locations. Rapid Drop Off is our most convenient option, with two marked bays, one on the left and one on the right. Find the full list of options on our Accessible Transport page.
