East Midlands Airport to Derby

13 miles northwest of East Midlands Airport, Derby is practically a stone’s throw away. With the two being so close, getting between them by car, bus or train is a breeze.

By car

The easiest mode of transport is by car, with the route via the A50 only taking around 20 minutes. You can also hire a car from the airport, so you don’t even need your own vehicle. Save money on your parking and book in advance – the earlier you sort it, the more money you save!

You may want to consider booking a hotel room near the airport to avoid traffic if you have an early flight.

Thanks to our regular Skylink bus between East Midlands Airport and Long Eaton Train Station, making the journey to and from Derby by rail is easy. There are regular services running between Derby Midland Station and Long Eaton daily, taking around 11 minutes.
